Ever since the accident, safety has has been on my mind. I’ve felt even more keenly aware of being safe while crossing the street as the days get shorter and February draws ever nearer. That’s why when I saw the opportunity to review the LED Light Reflective Safety Vest with two LED Slap-On Wristbands I immediately took it. So yes, I received this vest for free in return for reviewing it, but now that I’ve tried it out … I totally would have purchased it!
What I like about the ITL LED VestMy favorite part of the set is the pair of wrist bands. They are easy to put on and take off. They shine brightly in the dark. And they tuck away in my back pack with ease.
Even better, the wrist bands and the vest have three light-up options, depending on how noticeable (or obnoxious) you want to be: Simply on, flashing quickly and flashing slowly. Check out the video to see what I mean.
What I don’t like about the ITL LED Vest
The vest itself isn’t that useful if you want to stuff it into a back back and take it on the road. Because the LED “vest” is really a bunch of light up tubes, I could see it easily getting broken if I did that. However, if you’re going to put it on the seat in the car or just plain wear it out your front door, you should be find. So it isn’t that big of a problem.
Even if you don’t use the vest, I think it is well worth the investment of $35 ($34.95 on Amazon). I’ve worn it on the way to the bus in the morning and even gotten into conversations about it. People think its a really good idea, especially around where I live where several people have commented that they’ve almost gotten hit by cars while crossing the street.
