Ahh, Carma. Seems like I’ve known her forever. Well, it’s really been just a blip, geologically speaking, but for me it feels like a lifetime. Wait, it has been a lifetime, short perhaps a few months. Our fathers each had the incredible foresight to be related to one another, and have children, thus making it easier for us to be cousins. I also think our early manic consumption of fantasy and sci-fi helped strengthen our familial bond.

One would think I’d have outgrown my childish love of fantasy and sic-fi writing, but it’s only become stronger; an addiction to take to the grave.
Question: If a movie were made of your life, what actor (past or present) would you want to play you, and why?
Answer: If a movie were made of my life, wrestler/actor Steve Austin would probably be physically closest. I’d like to think my life deserves the solid integrity of Sidney Poitier (To Sir, With Love) and poetic grace of Jose Ferrer (Cyrano de Bergerac), but to be honest, it is more likely the clueless optimism of Donald Sutherland (Kelly’s Heroes) and stultifying academicity (that’s right, academicity) of Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man).
